Vintage Redesigns 

A gown that has been worn and loved before has just as much beauty and value as a brand new gown. We absolutely adore a bride who wants to rock her mother’s, or even her grandmother’s dress, on her very own special day! Restoring, resizing, or redesigning a vintage gown is a great way to celebrate the sentimental value of a garment. We pride ourselves on our ability to breathe new life into a secondhand gown while memorializing its history in your family. 

What to expect: 

Vintage gowns are typically delicate and more labor intensive to work with and therefore fall outside of the category of general alterations. Customization/redesigns typically require multiple fitting appointments and a larger timeline for total completion. Please call and schedule your redesign consultation at least 6 months before your wedding date. If you are unsure about the severity of your redesign needs, we recommend calling to schedule a consultation as soon as possible. 

During the first appointment, Ruthy will work up a labor/price quote, tallying up your total vintage redesign needs and estimating your total cost depending on how many steps are required for project completion. Cost can vary from dress to dress depending on the amount of work required, the complexity of the repairs/redesign, and the time involved. A down payment is required at the first fitting to move forward with your redesign plan.

A $100.00 booking fee is required to officially hold your consultation date and time. This deposit is not an additional fee and will be applied to your total cost. Booking deposits are non-refundable in the event of client no-show or cancellation. 

Considering the high demand for our services, we ask that you please keep track of and respect your set appointment time. We require an additional mandatory $100.00 fee to reschedule a missed appointment.
